Work Study Position: MCSI

Interested in making Pitt more sustainable and need a work study position? MCSI is hiring a new Office Assistant. The description is below, and if you have questions, you can ask Pat Eells (pfe3 at pitt.edu), who is finishing his time in the position. It is a great opportunity to work with a committed (and well-funded) team to create and improve sustainability initiatives in many areas, and connect engineering with other schools and students with faculty and staff.

School of Engineering- Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation- Office Assistant

The Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation is looking for an undergraduate student to work in our office in Benedum Hall.  The student will report to the Center’s office manager and will assist with clerical and business tasks as well as lead project development on campus initiatives and programs.  Tasks will include, but not be limited to, database updates, mailings, proofreading of documents, greeting visitors and the development and distribution of Center marketing materials.  The ideal candidate will have a personal interest in sustainability and be motivated to participate in MCSI activities, as well as the development and implementation of student led programs and campus initiatives. The student will be asked to represent MCSI at various environmental student group meetings.  MCSI would welcome candidates who could be with us over a 2-3 year period. Payrate: $8.15/hr
Positions Available: 1

Hours: ~10-15 hours per week

Specific hours are negotiable
